Mobility Month in May…
It’s Mobility Month during May and we’ll be helping to keep your pets on the move! Pets of all ages can benefit from a mobility check to make sure they keep on moving, and the right diet and exercise program can make all the difference.
When it comes to staying mobile, here are a few things to look out for in your pets:
Aches, pains and stiffness
Whilst our pets are good at hiding their pain, it is possible to keep an eye out for pets with creaking joints or those which don’t run or jump like they once did. Age can cause deterioration in pets’ joints and muscles, and they may not find it as easy to get around as they once did.
Slowing down
Our pets usually like to keep active, so if you notice them spending more time asleep or any reluctance to go out and get some exercise, it’s worth having a chat with us. The natural ageing process can mean our pets spend more time sleeping and less time rushing around, but there are lots of ways we can help you to keep your pets fit and active.
Weighing in
It’s also really important to keep an eye on your pet’s weight. Pets which are above their ideal weight may find it harder to get around. It’s definitely a good idea to have your pet’s weight checked regularly. Keeping trim ensures that our pets are not putting extra pressure on their joints, so keeping a regular eye on your pet’s weight is really important.
So with these tips in mind, why not get in touch for help and advice during Mobility Month.
